What exactly is a day-use room?
A normal guest room booked for a few hours during the day instead of overnight. You get the same private, air-conditioned room and attached bathroom — you simply check out the same day.
How far is Hotel Amar from Patiala Railway Station?
About 3.2 km, roughly a 10-minute drive. We are on Mall Road in Baradari, close to Baradari Garden.
Do I need to book in advance?
Day-use rooms are released subject to availability, so calling ahead is always safer — especially in wedding season. Ring us and we will hold a room for your arrival time.
What ID do I need?
The same as any stay: a valid government photo ID for every adult guest, as required by law. This applies to day-use bookings too.
Can I extend into a full night?
Usually yes, if the room is free that evening. Tell reception as early as you can and you will pay the difference to the nightly rate rather than two separate bookings.
Is the restaurant open during a day slot?
Yes. Our pure-vegetarian restaurant serves breakfast from early morning and full meals through the day, and room service is available.
Can I leave my luggage before or after my slot?
Yes, reception will store your bags at no extra charge. It is one of the main reasons transit guests use us.
